Job Summary:
Provides general administrative support to Hartford HealthCare at Home Hospice. Performs various duties for accounts payable preparation, claims management, and security badging. Files, maintains records, data entry, research and other clerical duties. Ensures proper account coding.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review Accounts Payable invoices for accuracy, assist in proper coding for cost centers.
- Create Purchase orders and support new managers.
- Assist with month-end preparation; review match exceptions, recurring liabilities. Maintain and upload to CMS (Content Management System) for Oasis Reporting.
- Process & prepare invoices/claims for IV therapy, durable medical equipment, Hospice room and board; review for completeness of documentation and signatures.
- Work closely with Revenue Cycle on Hospice claim process. Process Hospice Claims generated from EPIC for Skilled Nursing Facilities.
- Prepare check requests and submit to Accounts Payable. Maintain all claim records for HomeCare. Maintain EPIC work queue for Hospice regulatory requirements.
- Maintain, modify, and create employee badges.
- Organize daily work and information to maintain efficiency and confidentiality.
- Assist in special projects such as reviewing costs related to durable medical equipment and collecting patient and doctor’s orders.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High School diploma
- Preferred Education: Associates Degree in business or health-related field
- Experience: 3 years of office/business experience. Preferred: 3 years in a health-related field
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Flexible, adaptable, high ethical standards, proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel), knowledge of general accounting, and understanding of Hospice benefits Medicare/Medicaid.
