Job posting details will no longer be available after the position close s .Division of Environmental Assistance & Customer ServiceThe mission of the Division of Environmental Assistance and Customer Service (DEACS) is to protect and improve North Carolina’s environment and economy through customer focused assistance, greater understanding of environmental permitting and compliance, wider adoption of sustainable practices, increased recycling and reduced waste disposal and reduced impacts from resource consumption. The goal is to improve quality customer service information and assistance that is both solution and education oriented.Regional Office Administration and Operations provide regional support and monitoring of environmental regulations and enforcements to ensure that the natural resources of North Carolina are protected. These offices are located throughout the state providing services to all 100 counties and 532 incorporated municipalities in various environmental programs depending on the region. DEQ ‘s divisions and programs are multidisciplinary, interrelated and dynamic.
