DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective
The Assistant Ticketing Manager – Operations is responsible for creating events for sale in the Ticketmaster ticketing system and managing them through the day of the show for events at BJCC facilities, including Legacy Arena, Protective Stadium, BJCC Concert Hall, Theater, Exhibition Center, etc. This role requires working nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience building complex events in ticketing systems (preferably Ticketmaster and Archtics), managing ticketing inventory, and maintaining accurate data. The incumbent should possess exceptional guest service skills and the ability to foster strong relationships with customers and promoters.

The candidate should demonstrate understanding and full performance ability in the following areas:

  1. Develops comprehensive knowledge of the Ticketmaster system, attending webinars to maintain efficiency, including digital ticketing, Platinum, VIP, Fan Club, etc.
  2. Creates events for sale in Ticketmaster Host & Archtics, including add-ons like parking, arena club, and VIP packages.
  3. Acts as a primary contact for promoters regarding ticketing, offering recommendations, setting up events, processing orders, managing show days, and running reports.
  4. Maintains events throughout the sales cycle, managing holds, price changes, and offers.
  5. Maintains clear and accurate event files with relevant setup and financial information.
  6. Checks event builds, offers, and price changes for accuracy and completeness.
  7. Prepares ticket sales reports and customer lists as needed.
  8. Processes internal and promoter ticket orders.
  9. Ensures box offices are prepared before events, checking supplies, ticket stock, computers, printers, and maps.
  10. Works at venues as needed, supervising box office staff, answering questions, managing will call, providing change, and resolving customer issues.
  11. Performs other duties as required.
Work Environment

This position may involve moderate to high stress levels due to crowd interactions. The environment is primarily indoors but may require outdoor work and exposure to elements such as heat and rain.

Physical Demands

Requires extended periods of sitting and standing, walking between venues, and physical efforts such as climbing, bending, and lifting up to 30 lbs. Visual acuity, speech recognition, and clarity are necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time role with flexible hours to meet event demands, including day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Required Education and Experience
  • At least three years of related experience in ticketing for events, sports, or entertainment.
  • At least two years of experience handling money and customer relations.
  • An associate degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, business management, or related fields, or extensive relevant experience.
  • Industry certification is strongly preferred.
