Anoka County Sheriff's Office in Andover, MN is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support for the MRFL team. This full-time, on-site role supports directors and scientists, handles confidential information, and helps manage budgets and purchase orders.

This position performs a variety of duties which include performing office administration and operations activities for the Sheriff’s Office. This is a full-time, non-exempt, on-site position.
Anoka County Salary Schedule Grade 28- LELS 567: $48,006 to $64,812 ($23.08 to $31.16 per hour). 24 days of paid flexible time off and up to 12.5 paid holidays. This position will work at the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, located at 13301 Hanson Blvd NW, Andover, MN 55304. Expected work hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Standard office environment.
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus, such as to work on computers. Ability to see colors, shades, and brightness.
Hearing abilities required for general and phone communication, signals, and machine sounds.
Assignments are sedentary, occasionally alternating between sitting, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling as required to perform job responsibilities.
Frequent wrist and finger manipulation to complete computer work.
Occasional lifting of 10-20 lbs.
Equipment used includes computers, phones, and standard office equipment.
Occasional travel to other county work sites as needed. Travel between work sites may require driving a county vehicle and/or a personal vehicle.
No tattoos, scars, or brands that qualify as “Unauthorized Tattoos” under the Sheriff’s Office Policy 1044.3 are allowed under any circumstances by any member of the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office. Tattoos on the head, face, neck, or hands are prohibited. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis. (Complete policy available upon request).
This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement between Anoka County and Law Enforcement Labor Services (LELS).
