Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Operations for the School of Rehabilitative and Health Sciences (SRHS), the Administrative Assistant/Lab Coordinator oversees SRHS laboratories and equipment, supports the Department of Physical Therapy’s (DPT) Clinical Education Team with database management and student communication, and assists with SRHS social media and the annual MoveForward 5K/10K event. This role provides essential administrative support to faculty, staff, and students, helping advance the University’s mission of delivering a transformative educational experience.Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversight of SRHS laboratories including the DPT and HES lab space
Routine laboratory maintenance
Lab set up and tear down as directed by faculty
Lab equipment and supplies inventory and maintenance
Lab equipment check out
Laundry ordering and stocking
Setting up of lab practical exams and skills checks
Administrative support of DPT Clinical Education Team
Database management
Clinical education communication including, but not limited to
Compliance issues
Clinical education placements
Department of Post-Professional Studies Functions
Assists PPS Department Chair in preparation of ABPTRFE and ACOMPTE accreditation documents
Updates tracking documents for fellows-in-training
Provides support for FOMPT weekend intensives and ROPT weeklong intensives
Maintains current affiliation agreements with all residency and fellowship sites
Working with Registrar’s office to confirm course section availability
Ordering of supplies for FOMPT and ROPT
Social media support
Assists faculty social media liaison with oversight of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and blog accounts
Coordination with Marketing-Communications to keep all social media accounts consistent with university policy
Ensure regular posting of School events
Administrative support of the annual MoveForward 5K/10K event
Support for faculty liaison
Attendance at planning meetings
Logistic support with class representatives
Race day support
Working Conditions:
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. This position requires 100% in-person work and may require occasional evening or weekend hours. There is no remote work option given the nature of the position.
Qualifications:
Education
High school diploma (or GED)
Experience
One year of administrative support experience
Special knowledge, skills, abilities
Strong computer skills using Office software including Excel and Word
Ability to simultaneously and effectively assist multiple people and manage priorities.
Self-motivated with exceptional ethics and a positive attitude
Superior verbal and written communication skills
