Carle Health is seeking a Lab Administrative Assistant to support billing, coding, transcription, and patient registration within the laboratory department. The role requires accuracy in ICD/CPT coding, strong knowledge of medical terminology, and experience with EMR systems.
You will interact with internal staff and external customers, document and follow up on issues, and help maintain a professional service standard across the lab and related departments.
The Lab Administrative Assistant demonstrates competency in medical terminology, HB/PB registration, insurance, and billing protocols, ICD and CPT coding, pathology and radiology transcription, and computer information systems. Functions as a resource for internal and external customers, therefore, must have the ability to use independent knowledge to analyze and resolve complex issues, accurately and completely document and follow-up, and project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction.

The compensation range for this position is $18.19per hour - $29.47per hour.
