Qualifications

  • General knowledge of child support, court and office terminology.
  • Six months of computer proficiency with Word, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint.
  • Six months of bookkeeping, clerical and data entry skills.
  • Six months collecting and monitoring data and budgets.
  • Six months preparing reports.
  • Valid driver’s license and be insurable.
  • Able and willing to travel, including out of state travel.

The Tribe does not have a reservation in the classic definition; rather, the Ponca Restoration Act defined its jurisdiction as a â??Service Delivery Areaâ?? comprised of 15 counties throughout parts of Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota. Within its Service Delivery Area, the Tribe offers a broad range of health, social, educational, and cultural services.This position provides a wide range of administrative and office support activities for the Child Support Enforcement Program. Assist the director to facilitate the efficient operation of the program. Tasks may include but are not limited to: Assisting with the planning and coordination of the program budget, goals and objectives; providing assistance to all functions of the department; maintaining data for federal reporting; and providing general clerical duties. This position must establish a working relationship with other tribal programs, IV-D program directors, funding agency, tribal, state and federal Courts.Working Environment and Physical Demands:Physical requirements include carrying/lifting up to 5 pounds, frequently; up to 10 pounds, regularly; and up to 25 pounds, occasionally. Visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to drive an automobile and operate computer keyboard and basic office equipment; subject to carrying, lifting, twisting and reaching to perform essential job functions.
