Job summary

Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock is seeking an administrative/clerical professional for the Cardiology Clinic, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm.

Two years of administrative/clerical and prior medical scheduling experience are strongly preferred; no nights or weekends. Salary starts at $19.30–$24.10 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of relevant administrative/clerical experience; HS diploma or GED may substitute for 2 years of work experience.
  • Prior medical scheduling experience strongly preferred.
  • Cardiology Clinic shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday 8am–4:30pm.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support across the unit, including records, reports, and budgets.
  • Assists with personnel changes and data preparation.
  • Manages scheduling-related tasks and coordination for the Cardiology Clinic.

Cardiology Clinic Summary:

Cardiology Clinic - Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm - 2 years administrative clerical & prior medical scheduling experience strongly preferred

Salary: Most new hires start between $19.30-$24.10 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Provides a variety of intermediate administrative and staff support services to an organizational unit, including budget preparation, personnel changes and preparation/control of records, statistics and reports regarding operations. Administers programs, projects and/or processes.

Required Education: No education requirements

Recommended Education: High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Required Work Experience: 2 years of relevant experience; HS Diploma or GED may substitute for 2 years of work experience

  1. Provides administrative support in a variety of functions to an individual, team, department, or other group in an organization. Schedules and coordinates meetings, travel, and other group activities. Reviews and answers correspondence.
  2. Collects, reviews, compiles, and analyzes data, and prepares reports, charts, budgets and other presentation materials. Responsible for document preparation and information management. Maintains electronic documents/files, prepares reports, charts or graphs.
  3. Assist with gathering, compiling, and verifying information for the annual budget process. Maintaining expenses within an assigned department budget. May be responsible for ordering supplies.
  4. Assists in all administrative tasks; answers routine and semi-complex inquiries; types reports forms and correspondence; operates a variety of office machines and equipment as required.
  5. Performs other duties as assigned.
