Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our Guam Remote Station (GRS) located on Camp Blaz, Guam for the Space Exploration Network Services and Evolution Contract (SENSE), supporting our NASA customer. GRS is one of four operational ground terminals that comprise the NASA SN Ground Segment, providing the TTC link for TDRS and associated data paths for supported missions.

As a GRS Administrative Assistant, you will administer programs, projects, and processes specific to the operating unit. You will also provide administrative support for the management and technical staff at the site and serve as an alternate COMSEC Account Manager, maintaining accountability for cryptographic equipment.

Responsibilities include:
  • Assist in budget preparation and control activities.
  • Perform advanced secretarial and administrative duties, including preparing correspondence, memoranda, and reports.
  • Compose and initiate routine correspondence and memoranda.
  • Screen telephone calls and visitors, resolving routine and some complex inquiries.
  • Schedule and maintain calendars of appointments, meetings, and travel itineraries, coordinating related arrangements.
  • Prepare and distribute minutes of meetings.
  • Monitor the status of operational supports.
  • Analyze data and prepare informational reports and summaries for internal and external customers.
  • Coordinate administrative computing, networking, and telecommunications services.
Additional responsibilities may include:
  • Provide administrative support to management and technical staff, including office management, budgeting, personnel records, and travel arrangements.
  • Serve as the site Training Coordinator for training and certifications.
  • Serve as the alternate COMSEC account manager, controlling cryptographic equipment.
  • Manage office supply budgets and procurement.
  • Support the development of contract deliverables.
  • Monitor and communicate changes in SN policies, report requirements, and directions.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
  • AS/AA degree with 4 years of experience; or, in lieu of degree, 6+ years of related experience.
  • Experience supporting technical personnel and programs.
  • Experience managing office budgets.
  • Experience maintaining files and records.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • U.S. citizenship and proof thereof.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance.
Desired Experience:
  • Experience with NASA and NASA’s Space Network.
  • Experience with COMSEC equipment.
  • Active Secret security clearance.

Target Salary Range

The typical pay rate for this position is $21.97 per hour, based on experience and other factors.
