Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

To perform secretarial duties for the Surgical and Clinical Pathology sections of the Pathology Department.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE:

No previous experience required.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Ability to use a computer and word processing system and able to type 50-55 words per minute. Medical terminology required. Ability to interact with physicians, patients, and staff in a courteous manner, and handle multiple requests in a pleasant manner. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule, set priorities, and solve problems. Good organizational skills.
