THE VACANCY: This recruitment is open and promotional, meaning all are welcome to apply. Current employees in permanent positions are eligible for seniority credit and promotional placement once passing all exams. There is one vacancy, working 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 10 months per year (off in summer). Location is currently TBD. This is a bilingual position; the successful candidate must demonstrate proficiency in both Spanish and English or Russian and English. Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish or Russian is required and will be evaluated during the Qualifications Appraisal Interview (Oral Exam) phase.

Basic Function

Under the direction of an assigned Administrator, encourage and coordinate parent education and involvement in school programs and activities; perform liaison duties between school and parents; refer families to local agencies or school services; maintain related records.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience: Any combination equivalent to a bachelor's degree in social services, education, or a related field, and one year of experience in an instructional or social program.

Licenses and Other Requirements: Valid California driver’s license. Incumbents must speak, read, and write in a designated second language (Spanish or Russian) fluently.
