Job summary

Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE) is seeking an Administrative Assistant I to support the Child and Family Services department in Modesto, CA. The role requires confidential handling of information and coordination of daily office tasks.

Applicants must complete the EDJOIN application and attach the required test certificate. Initial salary placement is on the Classified Salary Schedule, with a pay range hourly and a 247-day work year.

Qualifications

• EDJOIN Classified Application SCOE Administrative Assistant I Test certificate (must be attached to the application)
• Education: High school graduation and two years of increasingly responsible administrative experience
• College-level coursework in business office management, or related field desirable
• Driving may be required
• Immunization records and required clearances prior to employment (DOJ/FBI/CACI, TB test, pre-employment physical, lift test)

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of administrative support functions in the assigned departmental office
• Relieve supervisor of administrative details and organize office activities
• Coordinate flow of communications and maintain confidentiality of privileged information
