Administrative duties for this position include but are not limited to the following: Providing shared administrative support for the CABNR Dean's Office, department of Natural Resources and Environmental Science and the Nevada Ag Experiment Station. This includes reception, assisting with management of office equipment, completing purchasing card verifications, submitting travel and invoice requests and fleet management including scheduling use, maintenance and repair needs and mileage logs. Position provides backup support to administrative staff throughout the college as needed. Some limited travel may be requested.Essential QualificationsGraduation from high school or equivalent education and three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OROne (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; ORAn equivalent combination of education and experience as described aboveA valid Class “C” driver’s license or higher operator’s license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.ScheduleThe typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs. This position is in person, and some limited travel may be required.Compensation GradeGrade 27In classified service, salary is in Grade and Step. The Step is determined based on the Nevada Administrative Code. Salary placement above a Step 01 at initial appointment is determined based on the recruitment, the candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, and budgets.
