Job summary

Center for Human Services is seeking a Part-time Administrative Assistant in Sedalia, MO to support the SPOE team. You will perform clerical duties, manage intake activities, and prepare reports in alignment with DESE requirements and CHS policies.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, strong Excel/Word/PowerPoint skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with care. Office coverage is Monday–Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with potential process-improvement tasks.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in a related field plus one year of related work experience or combination of education and/or experience to equal three years.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of personal vehicle insurance.
  • Background screenings and fingerprinting required prior to start.
  • Knowledge of Paycom and WebSPOE preferred.
  • Strong confidentiality and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the SPOE team with spreadsheet updates, reports, and forms.
  • Handle intake activities, data entry, and records transfers.
  • Prepare and file program documents; meet deadlines and timelines.
  • Maintain CHS and First Steps knowledge to assist families and staff.
  • Provide office coverage Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm during required contract days.

As an organization, we are leaders in excellence, we have a steadfast commitment to solutions, we respect all differences, abilities, and similarities in our employees and clients, and we advocate autonomy!POSITION SUMMARY:The Early Intervention Administrative Assistant supports the System Point of Entry (SPOE) team by performing clerical and administrative task in a manner that reflects CHS’s mission, vision, and values, and ensures continuous quality improvements and compliance with all Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) contract requirements.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Creates a culture of communication by positively representing the First Steps Program, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and Center for Human Services. Demonstrates respect for the capabilities, backgrounds and cultural differences of families, children, co-workers, and the public consistent with trauma informed practices.• Supports the SPOE Team spreadsheets, preparing reports, updating forms, and other program documents, making suggestions for improvements and new strategies if necessary, handling information requests, transferring children’s records as needed, and completing special assignments to include data entry, document preparation, intake activities, filing/uploading documents, and retention to ensure required timelines and deadlines are meet.• Skilled in CHS and First Steps knowledge by having a general understanding of CHS and First Steps to respond to questions that come to the SPOE office and link families and community members to the appropriate support.• Supports the SPOE office through handling all assigned administrative duties for SPOE and CHS while providing office coverage Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm during required contract days.• Assists the SPOE with Process Improvement by supporting the region with reviewing and improving processes and creating new strategies if necessary.• Responsible for promoting a positive Safety Culture is expected and necessary to make CHS a safe place in which to work.
