Job summary

Avamere Communities seeks an Administrative Assistant at our Seaside facility to support daily operations in a long-term care setting. You will manage communications, appointments, records, and resident paperwork to ensure smooth coordination with residents, families, and staff.

Your role includes phones, emails, scheduling, document handling, and assisting with admissions/discharges, while maintaining inventories and aiding with basic bookkeeping.

Qualifications

  • One or more years of experience in a clerical position in healthcare setting.
  • Have a passion for caregiving and enhancing the quality of life for our residents
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with residents, families, and staff.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain detailed records
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.

Responsibilities

  • Entering and updating information into the facility's computer system.
  • Assisting with basic bookkeeping tasks, such as invoice processing.
  • Providing friendly and helpful point of contact for residents, families, and visitors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Type: Full-Time
Shift: Monday-Friday, 9am-4:30pm (includes 30 minute unpaid lunch)

Job Summary
An Administrative Assistant in a long-term care facility supports the facility's daily operations by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include managing communication, scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and assisting with resident-related paperwork. They also play a role in coordinating with other departments and ensuring smooth communication between staff, residents, and their families.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities
