Job summary

Plante Moran is seeking an Office Administrator to support catering, hospitality, and front desk operations at the Southfield office. You will coordinate events, manage conference rooms, handle inventory, and deliver outstanding client service across the firm.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 2+ years in administrative roles, strong communication, and proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. This role requires daily in-office presence Monday through Friday.

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent required; higher education preferred.
  • 2+ years in administrative or executive administrative roles, preferably in professional services.
  • Superb verbal and written communication with focus on client service and discretion.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Willingness to travel locally or overnight to clients.
  • Office presence five days a week, 7:30 am–4:30 pm, with occasional rotating Saturdays.

Responsibilities

  • Support office catering and hospitality operations for breakfasts, lunches, meetings, trainings, and events while ensuring an exceptional client and staff experience.
  • Coordinate catering orders from request to delivery, including intake, tracking, setup, issue reporting, and event support.
  • Manage conference room and hospitality space readiness, setup, and stocking for meetings and events.
  • Maintain inventory of catering, kitchen, pantry, and hospitality supplies and replenish as needed.
  • Assist with food deliveries and event preparation, ensuring orders are accurate and delivered to the right teams.
  • Provide front desk support by greeting visitors, answering phones, managing check-in, and delivering excellent client service.
  • Answer front desk phones and route inquiries as needed.

Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Support all office catering and hospitality operations, including breakfasts, lunches, happy hours, meetings, trainings, and special events while ensuring an exceptional client and staff experience.
  • Assist with coordination of catering orders from request through delivery, including event intake, order tracking, setup, issue reporting, and event support.
  • Manage conference room and hospitality space readiness, ensuring rooms are properly set up and stocked for meetings and events.
  • Maintain inventory of catering, kitchen, pantry, and hospitality supplies and proactively replenish items as needed.
  • Assist with food deliveries and event preparation, ensuring orders are accurate, organized, and delivered to the appropriate teams and functions.
  • Provide front desk support by greeting visitors, answering phones, managing visitor check-in processes, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Assist with answering front desk phones, routing incoming inquiries and questions as needed.
The qualifications.
  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent required. Higher level of education/college coursework preferred.
  • 2 or more years of experience working in an administrative or executive administrative role, preferably in professional services.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills with a focus on client service and the ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative while maintaining high confidentiality.
  • Solid technical proficiency including knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Opportunity to travel locally or overnight to clients.
  • Ability to be in the office five days a week from 7:30 am - 4:30 pm M-F with occasional rotating Saturdays

The compensation range reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position across our offices in the following regions: CO, IL, OH, and MA. Generally, experienced hires are not hired at or near the maximum salary range, as compensation decisions take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to: responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. The compensation range for this role in CO, IL, OH, and MA is: $22.05 - $36.35
