Job Summary

HCA Healthcare’s East Florida Division seeks a dynamic medical education leader to serve as Graduate Medical Education Designated Institutional Official (DIO). This role involves overseeing residency and fellowship programs at Northwest Medical Center in Margate, FL, and HCA Florida Westside Hospital in Plantation, FL.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), or equivalent qualifications deemed appropriate by leadership.
• Prior experience as a DIO, program director, or in a similar GME administrative role is highly preferred.
• Experience in undergraduate medical education administration or healthcare industry administration is advantageous.
• For physicians, specialty board certification and Florida medical license eligibility are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ACGME-accredited programs, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Manage 10+ residency and fellowship programs with over 120 residents and fellows.
• Collaborate with division and hospital leaders to enhance educational quality and environment.
• Monitor accreditation standards and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Potential clinical practice involvement depending on specialty and setting.
• Engage with medical schools and national GME organizations as appropriate.
