Admin/ Medical Assistant job at Top Docs, Inc. New York, NY.

TGB3 is seeking a Medical Assistant for New York, NY.

  • Location: Clinic is in New York, NY.
  • Must have experience as a Medical Assistant in patient triage, blood draws and EKG's, ABI, PFT and labs.

Under medical supervision, assists physicians and Advance Practice Providers in the delivery of health care services for the Compensation and Pension disability exams, as well as performs related duties as required. Provide excellent care to our patients.

Responsibilities:
1. Identifies patient’s chief complaint and records pertinent information in patient’s permanent medical record.
2. Communicates to physician abnormal findings.
3. Assists patients to complete medical history forms and prepares patients for examination and treatment by physician.
4. Documents all phone calls with patients.
5. Performs vital signs, measurements as height and weight and records them in the EMH – structure data
6. Conducts tests and procedures as directed, such as EKG’s, non-stress tests, spirometer, venipuncture, skin punctures, strep screen, glucometer, and urine tests, ABI, PFT and labs.
7. Assists health service providers with examinations of patients.
8. Cleans and sterilizes equipment and stocks patient rooms and labs with appropriate supplies.
9. Maintains medical supply inventory.
10. Transcribes provider's orders and prepares appropriate requisitions, forms as needed
11. Notifies patient of any change ordered by the physician.
12. Ensures Physician signs charts, labs, prescriptions, diagnostics daily.

13. Maintains patient flow after check in. Discuss patient flow with provider according to urgency and daily patient load.
14. Performs triage on patient.
15. Ability to assist more than one provider at a time.
15. Complies with office policy and procedure, OSHA Standards and HIPAA Privacy Regulations as stated in HIPAA Policy and Procedure Manual

  • Assist with covering front and back-office duties
  • Start: Must be IMMEDIATELY due to need
  • Contract is for 12 months
  • W9/1099 Contractor; paid weekly
  • Hours: Full time, Mon-Fri, 8a to 5p
  • Pay $18/hr.

Requirements: Accountability, professionalism, positive disposition and great communication skills and an extremely fast-paced environment. MUST be willing to multi-task!
