Job summary

ADUSA Distribution is seeking a warehouse associate to execute inventory and receiving processes, perform audits, and maintain accurate records on the warehouse floor in Chester, NY. The role involves complex problem analysis, collaboration with business partners, and strict adherence to food safety and safety practices.

The position offers an hourly rate of $23.50 with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule and opportunities to improve procedures and reduce costs while supporting operational productivity.

Responsibilities

• Execute and maintain processes for inventory & receiving department independently or without supervision.
• Able to perform complex research and analysis to identify, diagnosis, and resolve problems.
• Communicate and contact business partners and customers outside of the campus and address concerns in a positive manner.
• Perform quality control and auditing responsibilities on warehouse floor.
• Perform perpetual cycle counts and all supplemental count requirements within established time frames.
• Monitor warehouse damage and initiate resolution.
• Notify appropriate department leads for product discrepancies.
• Utilize reports to assist campus in investigating and expediting issues related to inventory discrepancies and audit results.
• Maintain accurate, organized files for all department responsibilities for efficient access to necessary information.
• Perform daily warehouse responsibilities in areas related to shipping, receiving and/or inventory management within established time frames.
• Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or campus that will maximize efficiency, productive, and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity.
• Understand Food Safety handling techniques, practices and expectations for the work environment.
• Assign items select slots based on the strategy of achieving retail and distribution operational productivity while ensuring the safety of associates and product.
• Maintain integrity of slotting strategy through analysis and continual alignment of slot profiles with item velocity.

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand for long periods of time when working on warehouse floor.
• Able to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks)
