Credit part-time, adjunct faculty teaching positions in the Paralegal, Legal Studies, and Business Law programs. Opportunities may be available at the Bethlehem, PA campus, Pocono campus in Tannersville, PA, and/or online as a blended or asynchronous modality.
Candidates must be competent to teach at least one of the following subjects: Estates and Trusts, Family Law, Tort Law, Litigation, Business Organizations, Criminal Law, Contracts, Legal Research, Legal Computer Technology, Legal Writing, and Real Estate Law for Paralegal and Legal Studies majors, and Business Law I and II for Business and Legal Studies majors. In addition to teaching, instructors will perform course and program assessments and maintain required records. Online instructors must complete training to use the learning management system.
A Juris Doctorate degree with a license to practice law or a Master's degree in a legal field with experience as a paralegal. Local legal practice experience is preferred. Teaching experience is a plus.
The number of adjunct instructors hired varies each semester based on departmental and college needs. There may not be an adjunct position available at the time of your application. When an opening occurs, the hiring manager will consider candidates from this pool. If hired, official transcripts from all attended undergraduate and graduate institutions will be required before issuing a contract.
