How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:

Provides therapeutic services to patients from young adult through advanced adulthood. Services include provision of initial assessment, individual, family and group therapy. Works as a member of the multidisciplinary team. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Assesses patient’s need for non-medical services within the parameters of the treatment plan. Works as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team.
  2. Provides individual, family and group therapy.
  3. Develops and maintains therapeutic relationships with patients in the individual, family and group setting.
  4. Coordinates the patient’s treatment with the multidisciplinary treatment team, patient’s family, referral source and aftercare provider. Makes appropriate discharge plans.
  5. Records patient data in the medical record to include the psychosocial assessment, group, family and individual progress notes and discharge plans/appointments.
  6. Works cooperatively with other members of the Clinical Programs Department and treatment team, provides coverage and arranges coverage when needed.
  7. Attends in-service and continuing education activities in order to comply with the system requirements and to maintain up to date licensure/certification specific to the role.
What We Require:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy or Therapeutic Rec OR Master's degree in Art Therapy
Experience: One to three years of related experience is preferred.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration:

CPI within 6 months of hire

BLS within 6 months of hire

Licensure/Certification specific to education; Required: Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist eligible, Registered Art Therapist eligible, Or Board Certified Music Therapist

Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills required. Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for position.
