Job summary

Success Education Colleges seeks part-time Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse instructors to teach LIVE clinical rotations in California.

Responsibilities include supervising clinical labs, teaching courses, and coordinating with clinical sites to optimize student learning and assessment. A RN with a BSN or MSN or an LVN with substantial clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Minimum of five years’ experience as a Registered Nurse.
• One year of experience as a Clinical Instructor is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach clinical at hospitals and medical facilities.
• Oversee and facilitate laboratory sessions for students.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Clarify daily clinical expectations with students and staff.
• Coordinate daily plans with clinical sites to observe, instruct, and evaluate students.
• Direct students in data collection and integration into clinical paperwork; provide resources for critical thinking.
• Provide immediate feedback after clinical performance and weekly progress reviews.

This is a fantastic opportunity to teach clinical at well-known, established hospitals and medical facilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Accept complete responsibility for students in the clinical facilityTeach a course load as assigned, including preparation for and instruction of clinical laboratoryPlan and organize instruction in ways that maximize student learningClarify daily clinical expectations with students during pre-conferenceClarify student placement and expectations with clinical facility staffMake patient/student assignments that meet both clinical objectives and patient needsDirect students in data collection and integration into their clinical paperwork; provide resources to students to ensure critical thinking through the nursing processCoordinate a daily plan with Clinical site to best observe, instruct, and evaluate studentsDirect post conference to ensure application of theoretical content to clinical experiences; provide opportunities for students to share learned experiences and verbalize feelingsEvaluate student progress and give feedback weekly; provide clear objectives for improvement as neededProvide immediate feedback of clinical performance following observation of skillsLAB INSTRUCTION:The instructor will oversee and facilitate laboratory sessions for students in the lab.
