DescriptionSuccess Education Colleges (SEC) is seeking part-time instructors to teach LIVE clinical rotations in nursing. The role involves supervising lab sessions, coordinating with clinical sites, and delivering instruction to nursing students in California.

QUALIFICATIONS include California-licensed RN or LVN, 5+ years RN experience, and prior teaching preferred. The position starts immediately with some travel to clinical sites and hospitals.

Qualifications

• RN with Bachelor's or Master's in Nursing from an accredited program.
• A minimum of five years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, with five years’ experience in the specialty field, and 1 year of experience as a Clinical Instructor (not required).
• LVN with AA or AS degree + 6 years experience or a BA/BS with 2 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach clinical courses and supervise LIVE lab sessions at partner hospitals.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and apply nursing process.

This is a fantastic opportunity to teach clinical at well-known, established hospitals and medical facilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Accept complete responsibility for students in the clinical facilityTeach a course load as assigned, including preparation for and instruction of clinical laboratoryPlan and organize instruction in ways that maximize student learningClarify daily clinical expectations with students during pre-conferenceClarify student placement and expectations with clinical facility staffMake patient/student assignments that meet both clinical objectives and patient needsDirect students in data collection and integration into their clinical paperwork; provide resources to students to ensure critical thinking through the nursing processCoordinate a daily plan with Clinical site to best observe, instruct, and evaluate studentsDirect post conference to ensure application of theoretical content to clinical experiences; provide opportunities for students to share learned experiences and verbalize feelingsEvaluate student progress and give feedback weekly; provide clear objectives for improvement as neededProvide immediate feedback of clinical performance following observation of skillsLAB INSTRUCTION:The instructor will oversee and facilitate laboratory sessions for students in the lab.
