Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a qualified Adjunct Therapist for our Eating Disorders outpatient unit in Somerville, NJ. The role involves supporting mental health rehabilitation through creative arts therapies.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a field related to mental health rehabilitation or Creative Arts Therapy (e.g., Art, Music, Dance/Movement Therapy)
  • At least 3 years of experience in Creative Arts Therapies
  • Licensure appropriate to the degree

Preferred:

  • Master's degree
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience in acute or behavioral health settings
  • Experience with eating disorders is a plus

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Day shifts
  • Per Diem schedule

Essential Functions:

  • Design, implement, and evaluate therapeutic programs
  • Ensure all practices adhere to hospital policies and standards
  • Assess, plan, and evaluate therapeutic, educational, and recreational services to aid patient recovery
  • Collaborate with staff to develop recreational interests and skills for patients
