Job description

Job Title: Adjunct Teaching - Asian & Near Eastern Languages - Mandarin Chinese Language Instructor Posting End Date: November 1, 2026 *NOTE: Last day to apply is Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 11:59pm (MT) Position Start Date: January 4, 2027 Required Degree: Master’s degree required. A degree in second language teaching, Chinese language, and literature is preferred. The required degree must be completed by the start date. Experience: College-level experience teaching Chinese as a second language is preferred. Native speaker or superior-level language skills preferred.

Duties/Expectations: Teach Chinese language courses at all levels (CHIN 101, 102, 201, 211, 202, 301, 302, 311, 411). Adjunct instructors are expected to follow the department-approved curriculum, hold weekly office hours, and attend occasional training meetings.

This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
