Qualifications

• Must possess an Associate of Applied Science degree or higher in Surgical Technology or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide as-needed instructional support to the Surgical Technology program, focusing on lab skills practice and competency assessment.
• Assist with student skills check-offs and laboratory activities.
• May serve as PRN substitute coverage when an instructor is unavailable and will not be responsible for regular didactic instruction.

Job Description: The Adjunct Surgical Technology Skills Instructor provides as-needed instructional support to the Surgical Technology program, primarily assisting with laboratory skills practice, competency assessment, and student skills check-offs. The position may also provide PRN (as-needed) substitute coverage when a regularly assigned instructor is unavailable. This position is not regularly assigned responsibility for didactic course instruction or ongoing course management. Assignments are based on program needs, scheduling, instructor qualifications, and availability. Employment as an adjunct does not guarantee a specific number of hours, assignments, or future work.

Salary: $38.00 / Hour

Education and Experience:

• Must hold acurrent CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential through NBSTSA.
• Must be agraduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Must possess anAssociate of Applied Science (AAS) degreeor higher in Surgical Technology or a closely related field.
• Must have a minimum of2 years of documented operating room or instructional experience within the last 5 years.

Licensing /Certification and Other Requirements:

• Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Prints (IVP) Level 1 fingerprint card.
• Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.
