Job summary

NOVA is seeking an Adjunct-Student Development instructor to teach psychology courses in person, remote, or online formats. Courses may run fall, spring, and summer with load based on enrollment and staffing. Employment is part-time with no guaranteed continuation.

Applicants must reside in the DMV area and hold a bachelor’s degree with related experience; a master’s degree or 18 graduate hours is preferred for advancement and salary consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the field with related experience.
• Master’s degree or 18 graduate hours in Counseling, Student Development, or related fields.
• Experience with Canvas, Blackboard, or other LMS.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the designated discipline up to 12 credit hours in fall/spring and up to 8 credits in summer.
• Develop course syllabi and instructional materials.
• Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student progress.
