Job summary

OSU-Institute of Technology in Oklahoma is seeking a faculty member to teach college-level Spanish within the School of Arts, Sciences and Health. Courses to be taught will include elementary Spanish I and II.

Earnest teaching responsibilities may include day and/or night classes or distance learning, with a general summary of duties and expectations aligned to professional standards. Master’s degree required; three years higher education teaching experience preferred; initiative and

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university; or master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in related discipline.
• Three years teaching experience in Higher Education preferred
• Proven history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
• A valid Oklahoma driver's license will be required if performing the functions of the position requires the use of a personal or university vehicle.
• Demonstrated success in collaborating with various constituencies.
• Must be a strong advocate for integrating technology into the delivery of instruction.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and human relations.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and resolve conflicts as necessary.
• Must exhibit characteristics of a team player.
• Must be willing to take initiative and assume responsibility.
• Instruction may consist of day and/or night classes, or distance learning.
