Adjunct RN Faculty - PRN Idaho Foundations/Fundamentals Clinical/Lab – Nursing

Grand Canyon University has an opening for Adjunct Clinical and Lab Nursing faculty members, inviting applications from individuals enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with Nursing students.

This PRN adjunct position requires travel within the Boise (Meridian), Idaho area to observe student performance during clinical rotations and labs.

Responsibilities
  • Reinforce didactic content, teaching knowledge and skills needed for pre-licensure nursing.
  • Collaborate with faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward clinical objectives.
  • Participate in grading written and clinical performance check-offs.
  • Stay current with trends and developments in nursing practice.
  • Maintain compliance with accreditation requirements.
  • Uphold nursing principles and the university's values.
  • Travel to GCU student sites to observe student performance.
  • Support the university's programs, philosophy, and community service.
  • Model positive behavior supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission.
Qualifications
  • BSN required; enrollment in a GCU MSN Leadership or MSN Education program upon hire (paid by GCU).
  • Alternatively, BSN with proof of at least 9 graduate credits or a national certification related to the teaching content.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Foundations/Fundamentals nursing with a BSN.
  • Active, current, unencumbered, multi-state RN license.
  • Successful passing of drug and competency tests.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to foster positive student relationships.
