Brigham Young University seeks an Adjunct Researcher for the Physics & Astronomy PASCAL Kent Gee's Lab to advance experimental acoustics research. The candidate will plan and execute laboratory and field measurements, analyze data, and develop computational models while mentoring undergraduate researchers.

Collaboration with faculty and research partners is essential. The successful candidate must relocate to Utah.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree must be completed by start date.
  • PhD in related field preferred.
  • Experience in experimental acoustics or related field.
  • Experience with MATLAB or comparable tools for data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct laboratory and field acoustic measurements.
  • Analyze acoustic data and develop computational models.
  • Mentor undergraduate researchers in methods and data analysis.
  • Prepare technical reports, publications, and proposals.
  • Coordinate research activities and ensure safety procedures.
