Job summary

MIU City University Miami is seeking instructors to deliver online and on-site courses. A PhD is required, with comfort delivering courses and maintaining academic rigor while engaging students via videoconferencing.

Experience in online and face-to-face training is preferred, along with strong English and communication skills and willingness to pursue an academic career. Fluency in Spanish is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Verifiable last level of study: PhD.
• Deliver courses while maintaining academic rigor.
• Review and improve syllabus for assigned courses.
• Provide educational materials to the Department of Faculty Management on time.
• Promote collaborative learning and interactive discussions.
• Motivate and guide students in class and respond to forums promptly.
• Attend classes 15 minutes before start and assist with questions.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for attending assigned classes by being present 15 minutes prior to the start of class and responding to any questions or needs.
• Be willing to attend faculty meetings, official functions and perform other duties as may be required by the administration as appropriate to the instructor position.
• Interest in participating in professional development events and reporting progress to the HR Department.
• Positive attitude to tutor and mentor students in their office or via video conference when requested.
• Willingness to perform additional duties useful to teaching performance.
