Job Summary

Responsible to prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline‑appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to the college's core values, an understanding of culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field. Meet professional standards for faculty in accordance with college policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach courses in accordance with the schedule of classes and follow the approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the Division faculty and administered by the associate dean/director.


• Teaching assignments may be on one or more of the college's campuses or off‑site locations and may include evening and weekend programs. Collin College is not hiring for online instruction at this time. May include Dual Credit courses.


• Perform other duties as assigned.


• Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures and core values.

In accordance with Texas Education Code §51.992, this position is designated for in‑person work at a campus or other location of Collin College. Remote or telecommuting arrangements are not permitted except under specific circumstances defined by law, including temporary illness, approved distance education assignments, or other narrow statutory exceptions.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Jobs are sedentary, with occasional lifting up to 10 pounds, and the requirement to have frequent standing, walking, and repetitive motions. The work environment is office type and relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards, with little physical effort required.

Requirements

• Associate degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of two (2) years of non‑teaching work experience in collision repair.


• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)/I‑CAR certification required.


• Security‑Sensitive position: candidates will be subject to a criminal background check. If assigned to a Dual Credit course(s), an additional background check requiring fingerprinting with the TX DPS will be required.

Applicant Requirements

All applicants (internal and external) must attach a copy of their qualifying transcripts. Faculty applications that do not have the appropriate transcripts attached will be deemed incomplete and will not be considered.

Employment Type

Part‑time. Compensation per adjunct faculty and CE instructor rates.
