Adjunct Professor Overview

An Adjunct Professor is a part‑time faculty member hired to fill assigned instructional sections at two‑ and four‑year colleges and universities, ensuring that students receive accredited, outcomes‑aligned teaching within a specific discipline. Day‑to‑day, the adjunct designs syllabi, delivers lectures or online sessions, evaluates student work against established learning criteria, and submits grades and attendance records to satisfy institutional and accreditation requirements.
