General Job Description

Metro Technology Centers is accepting applications for a Practical Nursing Adjunct who is responsible for instructing students in the classroom, laboratory, and at clinical sites under the direction of PN faculty.

Education/Experience

• Current unencumbered professional license as a Registered Nurse in Oklahoma.
• Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• At least two (2) years full-time experience in a clincial setting providing direct patient care as an RN required, within the last five years.
• Master's Science degree in nursing preferred.
• Current American Heart Association, BLS certification required.
• Updated immunization record required for clinical sites.

Duties

• Supervises nursing students in classroom, lab, or clinical settings.
• Instructs curriculum, records attendance, grades assignments and tests.
• Guides clinical practice of students.
• Maintains accurate records.
• Follows all guidelines for instruction as set forth by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing, Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, or other governing agencies.
• Instructs and assists in the safe operation and care of equipment and materials used in the classroom and laboratory settings.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Practical Nursing Coordinator and/or Site Director

Supervises

Only the supervision of practical nursing students.
