Job summary

St. Clair County Community College is seeking part-time adjunct instructors to design and deliver instruction to students in the Physical Science program.

Teaching assignments may include a full range of undergraduate courses, with responsibilities including developing syllabi, delivering content, and assessing students. Courses may be offered in the morning, afternoon, evening, or online, with expectations to maintain office hours, advise students, and participate in program development.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Geology; or Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in Physics, Chemistry, or Geology
• Teaching experience at the higher education level preferred
• All academic degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university
• Ability to maintain good relationships with students, staff, and community members
