Lake Land College invites an adjunct phlebotomy instructor to teach in the Phlebotomy Techniques module at Mattoon campus, delivering instruction, assessing student performance, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities include preparing syllabi, aligning with college outlines, advising students, and collaborating with program coordinators to achieve course goals; required: 2000 hours field experience and ASCP certification preferred.
Responsible for teaching in discipline areas as assigned by the respective division chair. All instructors are expected to demonstrate a mastery of the subject matter and a commitment to teaching and learning with a focus upon student retention and success.
Education Requirements:
Prefer a certificate or AAS in health related field.
Experience Requirements:
Required minimum of 2000 hours work experience in the field and certification from ASCP strongly preferred.
Knowledge:
Demonstrates ability to learn the Lake Land College information systems and processes; maintains all professional credentials required to teach in area of discipline.
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, ability to adapt instruction to various academic levels and learning styles, superior command of the English language, expertise with instructional technology

Open minded, innovative, enthusiastic, positive attitude, and adaptive to new teaching technologies.
Mod 1 course (Phlebotomy Techniques) meets August 19th - October 11th. Monday and Thursday nights from 4:30 - 8 PM. Mattoon campus. Mod 2 course (Phlebotomy Practicum) runs from October 14th - December 13th.
