Job summary

NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) is establishing a pool for part-time and/or substitute instructors to teach History, Political Science, Philosophy, and Geography. Ratem of pay is $765 per credit hour. Positions vary by term and may include fall, spring, and summer sessions.

Applicants should have a Master’s Degree and at least 18 graduate hours in the discipline, plus college-level teaching experience. Online delivery and instructional leadership are highly valued.

NorthWest Arkansas Community College is seeking qualified applicants to establish a pool for part-time and/or substitute instructors to teach courses in History, Political Science, Philosophy, and Geography.

Positions are available days, evenings, and weekends. Part-time positions are not an immediate hire. They are a resource for each department to go to for their immediate needs.

Rate of pay: $765 per credit hour

Required Education/Experience

Master’s Degree and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in discipline.
College level teaching experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience with leadership at a community college or educational institution is a plus. Demonstrated teaching ability is the top priority. Instructional experience and leadership experience at a community college is a priority. Ability to use an on-line platform. On-line delivery of instruction, use of technology for instruction, and experience or interest in project based, service learning, or inquiry based learning will be given special consideration.
