Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking an Adjunct/Part-time Faculty member in Accounting to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses during a semester. Responsibilities include syllabus development, preparing lectures and assignments, and maintaining office hours.

Qualifications

  • Evidence of teaching excellence, honors, awards, or other competencies.
  • Three letters of recommendation encouraged.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and provide official transcript.

Responsibilities

  • Develop or update course syllabus.
  • Prepare lectures, projects, and student assignments.
  • Meet all designated class periods.
  • Maintain regularly scheduled office hours.
  • Conduct timely grading of student assignments and exams.
  • Submit completed mid‑semester progress reports and final grades.

  • Prior experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate accounting courses.
  • Professional licensure or relevant certifications in accounting are encouraged.
  • Evidence of documented teaching excellence, honors, awards, or other demonstrated competencies.
  • Three letters of recommendation (encouraged but not mandatory).
  • Must pass a criminal background check and provide an official transcript of the highest earned degree.
