Job description

Seeking an adjunct instructor for painting courses in the Fall 2025 semester. The course is scheduled to meet at the Dowagiac campus on Monday and Wednesday morning. Additional teaching responsibilities may be offered depending on need and qualifications. Online classes are not available at this time.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or MFA in Art or art-related field with a minimum of 18 graduate level credit hours in art, or a BA or BFA in an art-related field with significant studio experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or higher in subject matter.
  • Previous college teaching experience.
Other Information

All applicants must demonstrate the ability to promote active and collaborative learning through a variety of teaching methods, as well as relate to students. Excellent organization and communication skills as well as the demonstrated use of instructional technology are required.

Physical Requirements

The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
