Job summary

MCPHS invites applications for an adjunct faculty member in the MPAS program. The role involves delivering didactic, laboratory and experiential instruction to physician assistant students, and conducting clinical site visits to reinforce learning.

Responsibilities include providing syllabi with objectives and outcomes, engaging assignments, DEI integration, and active student advising via multiple communication channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies; master’s preferred.
• Current NCCPA certification and licensure eligibility in MA or NH.
• Minimum of three years as a physician assistant with direct patient care.
• Teaching experience in higher education preferred.
• Experience as a clinical preceptor preferred.
• Commitment to undergraduate, graduate and professional education and student success.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and interact with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver didactic, laboratory and experiential instruction in multiple formats (in-person, online, or blended).
• Provide students with a syllabus including objectives, outcomes, and assessment criteria.
• Create engaging assignments demonstrating real-world relevance of concepts.
• Support DEI integration and co-curricular experiences in the curriculum.
• Post materials and communicate with students via the university LMS and related platforms.
• Advise students during office hours or via videoconference, phone or email.
• Provide service including mentoring, course development, and assessment.
• Other duties assigned by the supervisor.
