Job summary

Galen College of Nursing is seeking an Adjunct Nursing Faculty member in Charleston to educate and empower the next generation of nurses. The role involves facilitating learning, assessing outcomes, and aligning coursework with PSLOs, within the regulatory framework.

The position requires an active RN license and an MSN degree (BSN considered if pursuing MSN). A minimum of two years of clinical RN experience is expected, with occasional evening or weekend hours and travel to clinical sites.

Qualifications

• Active, current, unencumbered RN licensure in the applicable state.
• MSN degree is required; BSN may be considered if working toward MSN.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that facilitates learning and achieves program outcomes.
• Implement diverse teaching strategies for different learner needs and contexts.
• Help students develop professional nursing values and behaviors.
• Assess and evaluate student learning across classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
• Analyze assessment data to drive course improvements.
• Design and implement program assessments aligned with PSLOs.
• Participate in professional development to enhance faculty effectiveness.
• Maintain up-to-date professional nursing knowledge relevant to instruction.
• Comply with state board and accrediting body requirements.
