Job summary

Salem University’s School of Nursing seeks qualified Adjunct Nursing Faculty for the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program. Adjuncts teach in clinical, didactic, laboratory, and simulation settings to develop students’ clinical judgment and NCLEX readiness.

Assignments are made as-needed and not guaranteed term to term. Candidates collaborate with course coordinators, the Program Director, and the Dean of Nursing to ensure alignment with curriculum and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program.
• Active WV RN license or multistate license for WV.
• Minimum two years of direct patient-care nursing experience.
• Experience in nursing education or clinical instruction.
• Ability to use LMS and instructional technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical supervision and instruction in assigned clinical environments.
• Deliver didactic instruction aligned with curriculum and learning outcomes.
• Supervise nursing skills labs and simulation activities.
• Evaluate student performance using established rubrics and feedback.
• Maintain accurate documentation of attendance, grades, and evaluations.
• Collaborate with course coordinators and nursing faculty to ensure consistency.
