Job summary

Phillips Academy seeks an adjunct music instructor in Voice for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will teach private lessons and perform across styles, working with high-school aged singers.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching high-school aged singers.
• Ability to teach and perform in a variety of musical styles.
• Experience teaching private voice lessons.

Responsibilities

• Teach private voice lessons to students.
• Coach chamber ensembles when needed.
• Collaborate with the Music Department to support performances and large ensembles.

Qualified candidates will have the ability to teach and perform in a variety of musical styles (noting that many of our students are most interested in musical theatre and popular styles) and experience teaching high-school aged singers. We seek candidates who are interested in teaching a wide range of skill levels, from beginners with no previous training, to advanced singers interested in pursuing music performance in college.
