Job summary

Cincinnati State Technical and Community College invites candidates to apply for the Music Adjunct instructor position. You will instruct courses in Music and align materials with the Arts & Philosophy Department and state requirements.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in music or related field; 18 graduate credits in Music required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with online learning environments is preferred.

Overview

Cincinnati State Technical and Community College invites candidates who are fully committed to the mission and values of Cincinnati State Technical and Community College to apply for the position of Music Adjunct instructor. Qualified candidates will be responsible for instruction of courses in Music.

  • Instruct students in various Music courses. Create or if available, follow syllabi, course materials, and assignments to support course learning outcomes as defined by the Arts & Philosophy Department and the State of Ohio
  • Ensure that students achieve course learning outcomes as defined in the syllabus
  • Maintain electronic records (using Brightspace) of student performance, progress, and attendance
  • Complete, as directed, all start and end-of-semester responsibilities, including submission of no-show rosters and final grades
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in music or related master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Music
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three years of teaching or industry experience
  • Experience using online learning management systems (Brightspace)
  • Experience working with students from diverse academic backgrounds and life experiences
  • Ability to employ a range of online instructional technologies
  • Flexible availability for online consultation with students
