Job summary

Kennedy-King College, part of City Colleges of Chicago, seeks a Midwifery Adjunct Lecturer to design courses, counsel students, prepare lectures, grade assignments, and participate in committees supporting the college community. The inaugural faculty member will help prepare licensed midwives to improve maternal health outcomes in the community, in a non-union, part-time capacity.

The role requires delivering courses, grading work, and using D2L Bright Space, Zoom, and Typhon, while fostering

Qualifications

• Master's in Midwifery or related field with 5+ years CPM/CNM experience.
• MEAC-accredited program with 5+ years CPM experience.
• Knowledge of ethical practices in midwifery.
• CPM/CNM/LM certifications and ongoing education requirements.
• Two years of higher education teaching experience preferred.
• Proficiency in D2L Bright Space, Zoom, Microsoft Office and Typhon.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Day and evening availability.
