Job summary

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field.
  • Solid understanding of introductory mathematics, including quantitative reasoning, algebra, and statistics.
  • Strong teaching and communication skills; ability to explain concepts clearly to a wide range of learners.
  • Ability to create an engaging learning environment and to develop instructional materials.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver instruction in introductory mathematics courses in alignment with the established course map, in both in-person and online formats.
  • Develop and maintain course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and supplemental instructional resources.
  • Assess student learning through assignments, tests, and other evaluations, grading fairly and providing timely feedback.
  • Contribute to General Education Assessment by collecting, documenting, and reporting required course data.
  • Maintain regular office hours to provide academic support and support recruitment/retention efforts.
  • Keep accurate records of attendance, grades, and documentation in compliance with FERPA.
