Job summary

Motlow State Community College is seeking adjunct Mass Communications faculty to join our pool and teach courses as needed across campuses in middle Tennessee. This pool position supports the college by providing instruction in accordance with catalog descriptions and approved syllabi.

Qualified applicants hold a Master's degree in communications or a related field with 18 graduate hours, and must be able to teach in Communications, Journalism, or Media Studies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in discipline or a qualifying field by the application date.
• 18 graduate semester hours in discipline by the application date.
• Ability to teach in Communications, Journalism, or Media Studies.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned in accordance with the catalog description and the approved course syllabus.
• Travel to multiple campuses as assigned.
• Collaborate with faculty and leadership on curricular and programmatic issues.
• Stay current with developments in the teaching discipline and incorporate updates into instruction.
• Teach up to 12 credit hours per semester.
• Submit all paperwork timely and completely.
