Job Description

Basic Function:

• Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Agriculture courses up to 10 hours per week.
• Organize and teach all levels of Welding classes.
• Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning.
• Teach day, evening, and/or weekend assignments, including distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses.
• Assess Student Learning Outcomes each semester.
• Participate in department, division, and college‑wide initiatives and committees as desired.

Required Duties:

• Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: any bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of professional experience, or any associate degree and six years of professional experience. (Professional experience is required for those holding a master’s degree.)
• Professional experience must be directly related to the teaching assignment.
• OR equivalent.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

Preference may be given to candidates with experience that would demonstrate the clear ability to teach Welding to community college students.

Range/Step: 1–7 (based on degree and teaching experience).
