Yuba Community College District is accepting qualified applicants for possible temporary part‑time teaching assignments. These positions are filled based on the needs of the department and are on‑going recruitments. BASIC FUNCTION

Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Engineering courses up to 10 hours/week
Organize and teach all levels of Engineering classes
Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning
Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses
Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester
Participate in department, division, and college‑wide initiatives and committees if desired

REQUIRED DUTIES

Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Required Qualifications

Master’s in any field of engineering
Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in mathematics, physics, computer science, chemistry, or geology
OR the equivalent

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

Preference may be given to candidates with life or teaching experience which would demonstrate the clear ability to teach Engineering to community college students.
