University of Arizona invites applications for Adjunct Lecturer positions in Civil and Architectural Engineering and Mechanics to teach CE 218 Fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics and CE 427/527 Computer Applications in Hydraulics (Fall 2026-27). 0.10 FTE per course; two courses possible. Qualifications

• PhD in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering or relevant background.
• MS degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline with 5+ years PE experience.
• BS degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline with 7+ years PE experience.

Responsibilities

• Lecture for approximately 15 weeks of the course. Materials provided by the department head.
• Coordinate discussion topics and office hours with possible Teaching Assistant; grader and preceptors if active learning style is used.
• Be accessible during office hours on campus or via phone/Zoom; respond to email throughout the week.
• Prepare and deliver all lectures; develop homework; provide solutions to grader; develop and grade exams.
• Enter grades into the UAonline system.

Education
